Organisation & tasks

A trip is more than packing: bookings, precautions, securing your home, the last errands before you leave. On request, the app adds these organisational tasks as a dedicated section right in your list – to check off just like any other item.

Turning it on

The section is optional. In the wizard you enable it in the last step (Step 8, "What else do you want to take with you?") via the option "Pre-trip tasks" under the Organisation & tasks group. Without this checkbox your list stays a pure packing list.

What you get

Once selected, "Organisation & tasks" appears as the last section of your finished list (a "General" section with its own icon). The tasks are structured along the timeline of a trip into categories and subcategories:

  • Prepare well in advance – trip planning (accommodation, transport), general items (vaccination status, insurance, cards) and – for trips abroad – travel documents, entry and import regulations.
  • About 1 week before – check the weather, shopping (travel pharmacy, toiletries …) and organising (mail, plants, bins, informing neighbours).
  • Shortly before departure – final errands, tasks for the journey and the "For home" checklist (turn off the water, heating, security, windows and doors …).

Tailored to your trip

Some tasks only appear when they match your answers:

  • Trip abroad – the "For trips abroad" block (documents, entry regulations, international health insurance …) only appears for an international trip (a country outside Germany or the opt-in in Step 8).
  • Camping – tasks such as a power adapter or food for the road only appear for tent or camper/motorhome accommodation.
  • Pets – care and hand-over tasks only appear if you selected "Travelling with pets".

Checking off & adjusting

The tasks behave like normal items: you check them off as you complete them (see Checking off & status), and the section's progress is counted along. In edit mode you can add, reword, move or delete tasks and tailor the section to your situation. Everything is kept when you save.

Note: The separate car checklist is not yet part of this section. If you travel by car, the finished list additionally shows the vehicle travel notes.
